Metalonix, Inc., a ground-breaking provider of functional metallic inks, is pleased to announce its official corporate name has changed to Liquid X Printed Metals, Inc. (Liquid X).

Liquid X spun out of Carnegie Mellon University in 2010 and is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2011, Liquid X was recognized by the world-wide printed electronics industry at the Large-Area Organic and Printed Electronics Convention (LOPE-C) in Germany as The Most Promising Company for Commercialization and Best Presentation at the Investor Forum.

The company’s well-known technology transforms various metals into ink form, which is then deposited onto a wide variety of substrates. When heated at low temperatures, the ink converts to the base metal and exhibits comparable features. Liquid X allows customers to print metal traces and films that deliver the results comparable to the bulk metal while also providing the customer with a cost-saving solution. Liquid X will continue to develop and provide the same quality products on which it has built its industry reputation.
